The subsidy helps pay for increased heating costs during the winter.
- You may be eligible for a heating allowance if you are eligible for housing allowance in the month in which the application is submitted; in this case the amount of support is HUF 8,000/month.
- If you live in a single-person household and are above the age of 65, and receiving a pension or pension-like regular benefit and your income does not exceed HUF 125,400, you may also be entitled to a heating allowance; in this
ADMINISTRATION PROCESS
Please submit the completed application, together with the necessary annexes, to the Mayor's Office Welfare Office between 1 October and 31 March. However, it is best to submit it between 1 October and 30 November, as in this case the allowance can be granted for five months from 1 November to 31 March of the following year.
If the application is submitted between 1 December and 31 March, the allowance can be granted from the first day of the month in which the application is submitted until 31 March.

Application forms can also be picked up at the Public Welfare Office during office hours.
Recipients of housing allowance only need to submit a completed application form.
Individuals over the age of 65 who are not eligible for housing allowance must also attach proof of income to their application.
