DEBT MANAGEMENT SERVICE
DEBT, ARREARS, SUBSIDY, WELFARE
The allowance helps socially deprived families who have accumulated arrears of fees in connection with housing and who are themselves ready and able to settle their debts in part.
It can be granted to a family or person whose:
- debt exceeds fifty thousand forints, but does not exceed six hundred thousand forints, and has an outstanding debt for at least four months, or the service has been switched off due to utility fee debt,
- monthly income per capita in the household does not exceed HUF 77,500 or, for severely disadvantaged families, HUF 95,700.
The allowance can be awarded if the applicant undertakes to pay the difference between the debt and the debt-reducing allowance in a single sum or in monthly instalments and participates in the debt management consultancy provided by the Municipality.
