Notice to Normafa visitors

Dear Visitors,

You are no doubt following the news on the novel coronavirus epidemic.

From March 28th 2020 the Hungarian Government has placed restrictions on going outside.

We are all concerned about the spread of the virus and its consequences.

Individuals have a major role in preventing and slowing down the spread of the epidemic. Normafa is an extremely popular hiking and picnic spot, visited by around one million people each year.

The decree allows for leisure activities, but only under limited circumstances:

“Individual recreational sport activities and recreational walking are allowed in the peripheries and area of settlement – if possible, in green areas – alone or with people living in the same household, on condition that a distance of 1.5 meters is kept from other people.”

We ask you to kindly consider that staying home is safer. If you are determined to take a walk or to exercise, please choose a spot with a significantly lower number of visitors. Avoid the main promenade at Normafa and take the less busy forest paths instead, and please follow the regulations of the government decree!

We also ask you to stay up to date about any news and measures published by the National Centre for Public Health and to observe the government’s recommendations on personal hygiene.

Take care of each other! Thank you for your cooperation.
