Prof. Dr. Botond Roska neurobiologist research doctor was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Hegyvidék", who has achieved a revolutionary breakthrough in the treatment of certain types of blindness with the vision-restoring therapy he has developed. The professor, who was born in the District 12, currently lives in Switzerland and heads the Basel Institute for Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology.
