As spring approaches, green waste collection will start again in Budapest from 4 March. In district XII, leaves, branches, grass or weeds unloaded in decomposable green waste collection bags bearing the FKF logo are removed on Fridays. The aim of the service is not to incinerate or landfill green waste, but to compost it, so that it can be returned to the natural cycle. The 100-litre garden green waste collection bags are currently available at a gross price of HUF 235/piece at FKF customer services and waste collection yards, as well as at many retailers, such as MOL filling stations and some SPAR stores.
