Concerts at MOMkult
At the MOM Cultural Center (18 Csörsz St.) Felicián Kalmus will perform Christmas melodies in the soft voice of the cello on December 17 from 7 p.m., and on December 26 from 7 p.m., saxophonist and pan-whistler St. Martin will guide the audience into the unique world born from the fusion of lyrical jazz, dynamic folk and classical music. On December 30, from 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Hot Jazz Band and violinist Katica Illényi will promise a cheerful pre-New Year's Eve afternoon and evening, while on the last day of the year, December 31, from 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., the Budapest Bar, featuring star performers, will renew the traditions of gypsy music in the café. On January 2, from 7 p.m., accordionist Zoltán Orosz and his friends will welcome the audience to their New Year's joy concert, and on January 5, from 9 p.m., the St. Ephraim Male Choir promises light entertainment with its sparkling harmonies. The George Solti Music School and the Divertimento Chamber Orchestra will hold their traditional New Year's Gala concert on January 10 from 6 pm.
