"Cool-guy rangers” in the Hegyvidék. Every motorist may be inadvertently parked irregularly. Anyone who violates the rules risks penalties, but thanks to the new service of the Hegyvidék Municipality, residents of district XII do not have to worry even if they accidentally stopped their vehicle in accordance with the regulations. Instead of immediate punishment, the "cool-guy rangers", i.e. the employees of the Hegyvidék Law Enforcement, draw the attention of motorists to the violation via text message, so that they can correct the mistake within 15 minutes. To use the service, you need to register in the e-administration system of the municipality.
Parking permits in the New Year. The validity of the residential parking permits redeemed for 2023 will expire on 31 January 2024. A new permit must be obtained for this year, which can also be applied for online on the eugyintezes.hegyvidek.hu site. In the e-administration system of the municipality, registration is also possible for the discounted use of the Normafa car park this year. Parking is subject to a fee on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, but after registration, the Hegyvidék Municipality provides a 50% discount for those with a permanent registered address or residence in district XII.
Fundraising for children in Transcarpathia. Since the outbreak of the war, the Hegyvidék Municipality and the citizens of District XII have helped families and children living in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, on several occasions. This time, sports equipment – volleyball, soccer ball, basketball, ping-pong racket and ball, badminton fryer and ball, jumping rope, coordination ladder and hoop, hole buoy with pole used in PE classes, rubber loop, marking wheel, running barrier for children – will be collected for Transcarpathian schoolchildren. New or used devices that are still in good condition can be handed over at the customer service of the municipality (23-25 Böszörményi Rd.), at the customer service point in Svábhegy (1 Normafa Rd.) and at the swimming pool in Városmajor (29 Városmajor St.) until 24 January 2024.
Swimming is free on Saturdays. The Hegyvidék Sports Centre and Training Pool (29 Városmajor St.) from January 2024, will have longer opening hours on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Since last November, pensioners over 65 years old from District XII can swim free of charge on Saturdays from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. Moreover, since the beginning of this January, within the framework of the Active Hegyvidék program, every guest with a XII. district address card can use the swimming pool free of charge on Saturdays from 13.00 to 17.00.
Melodies and harmonies. Joe Fritz, who was voted one of the world's thirty best in 2011 and has been named "clarinetist of the year" by Hungarian audiences and critics for nine years, will perform at the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.) on 27 January from 6:00 pm with his soloist colleagues, guitarist Róbert Szili and bassist József Radics. The first half of the concert will feature pieces from the album featuring the etudes of Buddy DeFranco's 1976 clarinet school, which will be released this year, followed by the trio delighting the audience with evergreen melodies from the great eras of jazz.
Csángó Hungarian Dance House. In the dome hall of MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.) the Zurgó ensemble will hold its next Moldavian Csángó Hungarian dance house on 19 January. From 20.00 there will be a dance lesson, from 21.00 a dance house, from 22.00 singing lesson, singing together and story-telling, and from 22.30 to 00.30 a dance house awaits guests again.
