Collection of hazardous waste. The improper storage and disposal of hazardous waste poses a serious risk to wildlife, therefore the green office of the Hegyvidék Municipality organizes another action to deliver these types of waste. On Saturday, June 10, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the parking lot of 51 Tamasi Áron Street we will collect electronic waste, used batteries, batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent lamps, paint residues, adhesives, solvents, thinners, pesticides, waste oils and used cooking oil, oily solid waste, disposable medicines, empty propellant spray bottles and used tyres – up to four per person.

 

Hegyvidék picnic. On June 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon organizes a street ball on City Hall Square. The Zumba Gold and Senior Joy Dance teams will give a presentation and invite them to dance together, then the Party Voices ensemble will ensure the good mood of the audience of the square.

 

God is Good. The Lumen Christi Gospel Choir has released their new album with this title, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The vocal ensemble will hold its jubilee album release concert on June 10 from 7 p.m. in MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.).

 

Student concert. Children and adult students of Hangrózsa Music School will perform on June 11 from 4 p.m. at the Lóvasút Cultural and Event Center (64 Zugligeti Rd.). Ádám Balogh, Junior Prima Award-winning pianist and talent award winner of the György Cziffra Festival will participate as a guest artist.

 

Summer exhibition space on the Sirály Promenade. MOMkult launches its Glass.House program series again. The kiosk on Sirály Promenade will again be transformed into a community exhibition space this summer, where visual artists and designers will present their works in biweekly rotations. The exhibition periods are accompanied by outdoor programs in the form of concerts, book launches, audience and partner meetings. A young painter and graphic artist, Bolda Szmrecsányi will introduce himself first, and DJ Bottsie will play music at the opening of his exhibition on June 8 from 7 p.m. The next exhibitor will be photographer Noémi B. Tier, who will open her outdoor exhibition together with DJ Venom on June 22 from 7 p.m.

 

Exhibition of Munkácsy Prize winners. Every year since 2017, the Hegyvidék Gallery (10 Királyhágó Sqr.) presents the artists awarded the Munkácsy Mihály Prize in a group exhibition. This year, painter Attila Adorján, painter and graphic artist István Árkossy, sculptor Ferenc Farkas, painter Mózes Incze, painter drMárias, painter and sculptor Iván Szkok and painter Péter Wrobel received the prestigious state award. Their joint exhibition opens on June 8 at 6 p.m. and is on display until July 1.

 

Movies in English. The Hegyvidék Gallery (10 Királyhágó Sqr.) will screen the English-language German film Manifesto on June 13 from 6 p.m., whichinterprets the manifestos of the Futurist, Dadaist, Suprematist movements, Dogma and other art groups, played by Cate Blanchett extraordinarily. At Cinema MOM (53 Alkotás St.), the broadcast of Verdi's opera Il trovatore will begin at 6.30 pm on June 13 from the Royal Opera House in London. On June 17 and 18, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., music documentaries featuring two rappers from South Korean boy band BTS, J-hope and Suga. The brand new superhero film The Flash will be shown in English at MOM Park from June 14.
