Svábhegy Pentecost Farewell. On May 27 from 4 pm to 9 pm, on May 28th from 9 am to 6 pm and on May 29 from 10 am to 6 pm the Diana Park in Svábhegy will host various community programs: handicraft fair, children's concert, puppet theatre and magic performance, sramli music, performances of German ethnic dance groups and carols presentations, Swabian food specialties and excellent beers. Admission is free of charge.

 

Summer of Hegyvidék. On the first summer weekend in the garden of MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.) and on the Sirály Promenade, families, groups of friends and those arriving alone can find the opportunity to relax. On Saturday, June 3, from 10:30 a.m., the audience can see a fairy tale performance by the Melinda Balogh Company, and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. a roller skate disco awaits those who want to have fun. On Sunday, June 4th from 10 a.m. Zurgó, from 5 p.m. Duckshell, from 7 p.m. Parno Graszt will play music, followed by Labek&Chrobak from 9 p.m. Other programs e.g. a teddy sewing and seal-making workshop, an eco-instrument show, a cover-and-foot playhouse, a basketball carousel and an escape room, will also be included. Participation is free of charge.

 

Hegyvidék picnic. On June 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon organizes a street ball on City Hall Square. Zumba Gold and the Senior Joy Dance team will give a presentation and invite them to dance together, then the Party Voices ensemble will ensure the good mood of the audience of the square.

 

Concerts. On 26 May at 7.30 pm, Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B minor will be performed in MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.) with the participation of the William Byrd Vocal Ensemble, the Ars Nova Sacra Vocal Ensemble and the Presto Chamber Ensemble. On June 10, from 7 p.m., the 25-year-old Lumen Christi Gospel Choir will present his material from their new album, also on the stage of MOMkult. At the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.) on 26 May at 7 p.m., mezzo-soprano Sára Banai will perform vocal works by two contemporary Hungarian composers, Ádám Cser and Árpád Solti, and on 7 June at 5 p.m. we can enjoy Csaba Müller's guitar recital entitled Hungarian-homeland flowers. On June 1, from 7:30 p.m., the Cantica Aeterna vocal ensemble will hold its free debut concert at the Lóvasút (64 Zugligeti Rd.), while on June 11, from 4 p.m., children and adults of Hangrózsa Music School will perform, together with pianist Ádám Balogh.

 

Music broadcasts. At CinemaMOM (53 Alkotás St.), London's Royal Opera House production of Sleeping Beauty will be broadcast live on May 24 and The Troubadour on June 13. On May 25, the audience can watch a concert by former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters in Prague, and on the evening of May 28, the Los Angeles performance of South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together will be broadcast.

 

Exhibitions. At MOME Campus (9-25 Zugligeti Rd.) between 22-26 May, students of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design will present their plans and works made in the past semester, and on 30 May, animation majors will hold their KipakShow (the detailed program can be found on the mome.hu/hu/esemenyek page). Sculptor János István Nagy will exhibit his works from 24 May to 7 June in Barabás Villa (44 Városmajor St.), while Gábor Kőszegi, member of APS Studio and Kőbánya Photo Club, will have a photo exhibition entitled Still Lifes from the Attic on display at the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.) from 2 to 29 June.

 

Charity fashion show. On May 26, from 5 p.m., four fashion designers and one accessory designer will present their latest collections at the Lóvasút (64 Zugligeti Rd.). The income of the event will be used to support summer camps for young people in state care, by the World Beauty Foundation.
