Free branch shredding. XII. district residents can apply for the free branch chipping program from March 6th 10 a.m. As part of the campaign organized by the Hegyvidék Green Office, the commissioned contractor chops up freshly cut branches and twigs on the spot with a maximum diameter of 20 centimeters, collected during garden work. A maximum of 10 cubic meters of green waste is shredded per address. The wood chips are not transported, they can be used locally for mulching or composting. You can apply for the promotion after registering or logging in on eugyintezes.hegyvidek.hu no later than April 21, 2023 at 1 p.m., which is subject to availability. Pavement and road renovations. In the past few days, road renovation works have started in Ada Street, on the section between Városkúti Street and Ada Street 5/c, the construction is expected to last until the end of April. Gábor Szarvas út 1-9. on the odd-numbered side, pavement renovation has begun, and construction of a new sidewalk has begun on Törökbálinti út, between Oltvány köz and Magasúti köz, these works are expected to be completed by the contractor by the end of March.

Active Hegyvidék. The XII. District residents can choose from several free exercise options in March as well. Aerobics and a gentle exercises awaits those interested. In MOM Sport (14-16 Csörsz St.) you can do Zumba on Mondays and Wednesdays, and yoga on Wednesdays (integral yoga). You can also do yoga on Tuesdays at 2/b Győri Rd. (muditayoga). The gym at 29 Városmajor St. offers functional training on Mondays and Wednesdays and table tennis on Saturdays. The Gesztenyés garden running club holds its training sessions on Tuesdays. A new element of the Aktív Hegyvidék programs is taekwondo: the basic techniques of the self-defense combat sport can be learned on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. in the Los Angeles room of the "K" building of the University of Physical Education (44 Alkotás St). Hikers are organizing a tour to Mátra on March 18, the meeting will be at 8:00 a.m. at the Stadionok bus station. Travel fee is HUF 3,500.

Pétanque for seniors. As part of the series of programs announced under the title "Időspiknik a Hegyvidék" on March 9, starting at 10:30 a.m., those interested can try pétanque, a ball game popular among the French, free of charge in the Gesztenyés Garden.

Craft programs. The Lóvasút Cultural and Events Center (64 Zugligeti Rd.) welcomes those who want to create with free craft programs, drawing, painting, and gluing under the title Art for Everyone, every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the same place on March 13, from 5:45 p.m., the Furagura Creative Workshop will hold an art session for children and adults, the fee for that program is HUF 3,000/person for Hegyvidék residents.

Photo exhibitions. In the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.), an exhibition of nature photography works by Henrietta Kékesi can be seen, at the opening of which, on March 4 at 6 p.m., clothing designer Beatrix Fehér will hold a fashion show based on her works inspired by nature images. On March 11 at 6 p.m., Judit Kovács will present her travel experiences under the title "A world embraced by photos". The former exhibition can be viewed until March 30, while the latter until March 23.

Movies in English. The horror comedy Cocaine Bear is shown in English at CinemaMOM (53 Alkotás St.), a movie drama Babylon, and Marvell Studios' latest superhero film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Among the digitally restored Harry Potter films, Deathly Hallows I and II. will be part of the show.
