Renovated medical offices. The medical office renovation program, launched in the fall of 2016 by the Hegyvidék Minicipality, has come to an end, as part of which sixteen adult and pediatric GP offices were renovated at twelve locations. The last remaining, as the biggest task, is the restoration of the monument building at 18 Erzsébet Szilágyi alley. Two years ago, the in-house pediatrician's office was renovated on the lower floor, and now the upper part has been renewed. Four family doctors dealing with adults were able to move in here. The new dispatch center for hegyvidék patient management was located on the first floor of the newly finished and now beautiful office building.
Virányos Road has been renewed. The Hegyvidék Municipality won a one-billion-forint state grant for the renovation of the XII. district roads, so more large-scale investments can be made this year and in 2023. The asphalting of Zsolna street between Istenhegyi slope and Zsibó street was recently completed, and the lower section of Virányos road between Zugligeti Road and Mese street was renewed.
Autumn tree planting. The autumn replacement of the forest and park trees begins in Budapest. FŐKERT will plant trees at three locations in the XII. district: 31 and 13 silver lindens on Böszörményi road and Kútvölgyi road, while 58 goldenrain trees will be replaced in the Diós ditch.
Volunteers wanted. On November 19, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., habitat maintenance work will take place at the Denevér road greenfield organized by the Nature Protection Civil Guard, under the professional guidance of the Hungarian Ornithological Association and FŐKERT, which manages the nature conservation of the area. The organizers are looking for the help of volunteers to suppress alien and invasive plants, as well as to pick up garbage.
Cartoon festival in the salon. On the weekend of November 19-20, one of the venues of the IX. National Cartoon Festival will be held at the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.), where animated works for children will be shown in the morning and afternoon, and for adults in the early evening. On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in connection with the program series, the salon organizes a Family Morning, in the framework of which children and their parents can enjoy craftsmanship, a dance hall and a slide show.
Music school concert. On November 20, starting at 5 p.m., the students and art teachers of the Solti György Music School will give a concert in the dome hall of the MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.) entitled ‘Erdőzsongás’ (Forest hum). At the concert , the songs of the birds, the sound of the streams, or the murmur of the life-giving rain come to life through the sounds of music.
Charity evening. The IYF (International Youth Fellowship) Good News Corps program, a performing group of South Korean and Ukrainian volunteers acting in Europe will also perform in Budapest as part of its international tour. The Christmas Musical, a charity performance in English, can be seen on November 19 from 6 p.m. in the MOMkult theater (18 Csörsz St).
Movies in English. In CinemaMOM (53 Alkotás St.) you can watch the Marvel superhero film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in English with Hungarian subtitles, as well as the digitally restored parts of director Peter Jackson's ten-year Hobbit trilogy, in 4K quality. As part of the series entitled Temples of Art, on November 19 and 20, one of the most influential architects, painters and sculptors of Baroque Rome, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and on November 26 and 27, we can see an exciting documentary film of the painter Frida Kahlo who was one of the emblematic figures of 20th century Mexico.
