Gesztenyenap (Chestnut Day) at three locations. On Sunday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.), the Hegyvidéki Cultural Salon (2 Törpe St.) and the Lóvasút event center (64 Zugligeti Rd.), family programs, concerts, shows and special gastronomic experiences await the people of Hegyvidék. At the Lóvasút event center, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can join the Bélaműhely's instrument sharpener and conductor game. Elemér Duka and the Gipsy Chamber Orchestra will perform in the salon at 11:30, and Söndörgő playing Balkan music will perform in MOMkult from 5:00 p.m.

 

Harvest festival on Svábhegy. There will be a harvest festival according to Swabian traditions, with the consecration of bread and the blessing of the harvest, on September 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Diana-park. In addition to must tasting, pie baking, and craft activities, the program is enriched by the performance of a German ethnic dance group and a singing group.

 

The garage sale goes on. The next community fair in the district XII. is waiting for everyone on September 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the building of the mayor's office, on Városháza square. Used, tired, but still in good condition clothes, books, utility and decorative items can change hands at the Hegyvidéki Kipakoló.

 

Free branch shredding. You can once again apply for the free pruning program of the Hegyvidéki Municipality. For each registered address, 10 m³ of green waste can be shredded. Harp and tuba concert. On September 23, from 6 p.m., harpist Klára Bábel and tuba player László Zalán Kovács will give a concert in the Hegyvidéki Cultural Hall (2 Törpe St.). The two musicians have been playing chamber music together since 2013, and have since compiled a wide concert repertoire, from early baroque works to contemporary music.

 

Pétanque in the park. On September 29, starting at 10:30 a.m., those interested can try pétanque, a fun ball game known from French movies and parks that has not yet become widespread in our country, in the Chestnut Garden, as part of the program series Senior picnic at Hegyvidék.

 

Country music in the living room. Sam "Redbreast" Wilson will present the songs from his latest album, Tradin' Your Love, which will be released this spring, accompanied by Mad Dog Margaritas, who also appeared on the album, on September 30 from 7 p.m. in the Hegyvidéki Kulturális Szalon (2 Törpe St.). Wilson guides the audience through the plains of Texas and the mountains of Colorado in the footsteps of outlaw songwriters such as Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle or Townes Van Zandt.

 

Author's evening. With the title Dancing Genesis, singer-songwriter Attila Dolhai will perform the material from his new album on September 30 at 7:30 p.m. on the outdoor stage of MOMkult (18 Csörsz St.). In addition to new songs inspired by effervescence, love, passion and rock and roll, hits from older albums will also be heard at the summer closing concert.

 

Operas, concerts on the screen. In CinemaMOM (53 Alkotás u.) you can follow the performances of the Royal Opera House in London live: on September 27, Butterfly Lady will be shown, and on October 5, Mayerling will be shown. The documentary about the life of the metal legend Ronnie James Dio can be seen on September 28, while the film about the Maastricht concert featuring the evergreen opera arias, operetta and musical hits of conductor André Rieu can be seen in English on October 6, 8 and 9.
