Open-air concert on the terrace of the Salon. In Városházal Square, in the area in front of the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon, as part of the Musical Budapest program series, free concerts are waiting for the audience at all Thursdays from 19:00. On July 14 and August 4, we can take part in the swing concert of József Fritz (clarinet) and Pál Gáspár (banjo, vocals). On July 21, we can enjoy a folk music production by Zsuzsanna Zsikó (vocals) and Balázs Szokolay Dongó (folk instruments), on 28 July we can enjoy a performance of Lajos Sárközy Jr. (violin) and Gyula Csík (cimbalom), and on 11 August we can enjoy a jazz concert by István Elek (saxophone) and István Gyárfás (guitar). Every Saturday in July, from 10.30 to 12.30, the organizers delight the families with a community instrument exhibition and interactive field music.

 

Photos of people with disabilities. A special exhibition was opened on Városháza Square, on the terrace of the Hegyvidék Tasting Restaurant. Thez "You are a value!" in connection with the state program for the search for jobs of people with disabilities, an open-air exhibition can be seen, which presents the everyday life of people with disabilities through artistic photos. People who also work in the Hegyvidék Tasting, with great dedication, for three years now.

 

Cardiological screenings. On August 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., we can participate in circulatory disease screenings at the CityMajor Clinic of Semmelweis University (68 Városmajor Street). The program, implemented in cooperation with the Hegyvidék Municipality, the SZÍVSN National Patient Association and the clinic, measures blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and the experts carry out ECG tests. The tests are carried out on an empty stomach, only water can be consumed as a liquid. Pre-registration is required to participate, on working days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can register by calling +36-20/825-8084.

 

Movies in English. CinemaMOM (53 Alkotás St.) also features the animated family comedy Minions: The Rise of Gru and the superhero film Thor: Love and Thunder in English (with Hungarian subtitles). On July 21st kicks off "Concert Films Week", bringing to life the legendary concerts of Queen, Depeche Mode, David Gilmour, John Lennon, Roger Waters and The Beatles. On July 28, the "Temples of Art" series begins. Exciting documentaries will be screened about the art of Botticelli, Raphael, Bosch, Van Gogh and Dalí, among others.

 

Silent films with piano accompaniment. As part of the silent film series taking place at the Lóvasút Cultural and Event Centre (64 Zugligeti Rd.) classic cartoons such as Tom and Jerry, Mickey Mouse, Cool Elf, Czechoslovak Bob and Bobs and Krtek (Kisvakond) will be screened on July 26 and August 23 at 6 p.m. On August 9, at 7 p.m., a romantic drama Flesh and the devil from 1926 starring Greta Garbo, will be shown. The movies are accompanied by Miklós Dániel Répászky on piano. Entry is free of charge, but registration tickets must be purchased on the lovasut.jegy.hu page.

 

The library is waiting for you in the summer. The Budapest Szabó Ervin Library awaits readers in several districts, including the Highlands, all summer long. The library at 10 Ugocsa Street, which offers a wide selection of Books and Films in English, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Hegyvidék Unloader. The usual community fair of the 12th district will be suspended in July, but in August (Sunday on the 28th) there will be another "garage fair" in Városháza Square. Anyone who wants to sell a used, tired but still in good condition clothes, books or ornaments can request a table on the eugyintezes.hegyvidek.hu website from August 1.
