Another action week of vaccination. The action week of vaccination, which started on November 22, has been extended until December 5, with hospitals waiting everyone for the first, second or even third vaccinations each day between 7am and 7pm, with increased capacity and no appointments. Five types of vaccines are available at the vaccination spots: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen and Sinopharm. In addition to adults, unvaccinated children 12 to 17 years of age can also be vaccinated. Vaccination of 5-12 year olds will be available after December 20, according to a government announcement.
Mandatory mask wearing. In addition to healthcare facilities and public transport, masks must be worn in shops, malls, post offices, customer services, theaters, cinemas, museums, libraries and cultural and sporting events across the country. Events larger than 500 people, as well as the spas in Budapest and the self-organized exercise classes and club sessions for the elderly in the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon can only be attended with a vaccination and immunity certificate.
Advent in Hegyvidék. A Christmas market and festive programs await the people of Hegyvidék for four weeks in front of the mayor's office in the Town Hall Square. The open-air stage includes Dr. Jazz Band Duo (December 3 at 6pm and December 19 at 6pm), Harcsa Veronika and Gyémánt Bálint (December 4 at 6pm) and Oti Voice & Bass (December 11 at 6pm). On weekends, petting zoos and pony rides await children next to the Margaret Playground.
Movies in English. The sci-fi Eternals and the biographical drama “House of Gucci” are screened in English (with Hungarian subtitles) in CinemaMOM (XII., 53 Alkotás St.). On December 8, from 8:30pm, a Gorillaz concert film, “Song Machine Live From Kong,” and on December 12, from 3pm, an opera film, Titus Grace, will be staged by the Zurich Opera House.
Adult dance house. On December 10, from 8pm, the Zurgó Ensemble will hold the next Moldavian Csango Hungarian dance house in the dome hall of MOMkult (XII., 18 Csörsz St.).
Family concerts. Ági Szalóki will give a family-friendly concert at MOMkult (XII., 18 Csörsz St.) on December 11, from 11am, and on December 12 from 11am to 3pm, Réka Farkasházi and the band Tintanyúl will be staged.
Irish music. The decades-long tradition continues, the band Bran is once again waiting for the Irish-Celtic culture lovers in the Jókai Club (XII., 5 Hollós St.). Their concert will begin on December 11 at 7pm, but there will also be a slideshow on the spot an hour in advance.
Cristina Branco. Discovering and reinterpreting traditional fado songs, Portuguese singer Cristina Branco will perform on the stage of MOMkult (XII., 18 Csörsz St.) on December 13 from 8pm.
Painter workshop. If you like to create, you can paint the snowy peak of Mount Everest at the session of the painter Anna Tóth on December 12, at 10am in the Barabás Villa (XII., 44 Városmajor St.).
Exhibition in the Salon. On the occasion of the “Cziffra 100” anniversary, the painter Hanna Kürthy will present her works related to her years in Senlis, France, and at the Cziffra Foundation for two months from December 1 at the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon (XII., 2 Törpe St.).
Utility work. In the first half of December 2021, the following major utility works are expected in the district: Between 12-18 Városmajor utca, Észak-Budai Zrt. will install electrical cables on behalf of ELMŰ Hálózati Kft. at the beginning of December. Road congestions and parking restrictions are to be expected during the works.
